Best of 2018 – dance / electronic

It’s time to wrap up 2018 and look back at some of the best releases we’ve seen during the year.
We’ve compiled a TOP 10 playlist for our favourite tunes which you can listen here.

1. Axwell – Nobody Else [Axtone Records]
It’s always special when the swedish superstar decides to release a solo release. This time Axwell takes us back to the good old times of house music. “Nobody Else” has the same magical Axwell vibe as “I Found You” which was (and still is) one of the biggest tunes that introduced the club house sound for the larger audience.

2. CLMD – Trouble [Trouble Music / Universal Music]
We’ve been fans of CLMD since the early days of their career listening to releases like “Black Eyes And Blue” and “Little Bit”. Afterwards the duo decided to split and it’s been fantastic to see that the guys still continued to make music on their own, Carl Louis with his own name and Martin Danielle as CLMD. “Trouble” is a confident dance – pop banger and is really making way for the new era of CLMD productions.

3. Galantis – Emoji [Atlantic]
Galantis has been putting out stadium filling big bangers for the most but their release titled “Emoji” is something different and that’s why it’s so damn good. “Emoji” has an unique timeless feel on it and is perfect for the incoming holiday chill vibes.

4. Rasster – The Motion [Starmode]
Rasster has been putting out plenty of records during the last years and he really made a difference with “The Motion” a state of the art dance track with catchy moombahton – rnb vibes.

5. The Midnight – America 2 [The Midnight Music]
The Midnight is riding in the forefront of the Synth – New Retro Wave scene and “America 2” is a perfect and timeless piece of music for any occasion where the touch of 80’s is needed.

6. Peking Duk – Wasted [Sony Music]
The Australian duo has been putting out decent tracks for quite some time now starting from club bangers to more pop oriented tunes. Disco stylized “Wasted” is filled with good vibes from the french house bassline to the uplifting vocals of their very own band member Adam.

7. Steve Angello – Are You [Size Records]
“Are You” is our favourite track from Steve Angello’s Human album released in 2018 via his very own Size Records imprint. The track perfectly presents the classic Angello style bassline with carefully selected vocal chops.

8. Tarmo – I Wan’t You [Starmode}
Compiling the 80’s retro vibes with modern dance sounds has been the thing for Tarmo’s latest releases and “I Wan’t You” has smoothly nailed the  “Outrun” vibe on up to date production.

9. Axwell ^Ingrosso – Dancing Alone [Astralwerks]
The 90’s eurodance sound has been turned into something new and fresh by the swedish maestros and that’s why we like it. We hope for more innovative tunes when the Swedish House Mafia returns with new shows and music during 2019.

10. Calvin Harris & Sam Smith – Promises (David Guetta Remix) [Sony Music]
We love the carefully crafted bassy arp sound that only lasts the first 30 seconds of the song but it’s enough to make it stand out from the masses.
